So I noticed the last that I blogged was photos of Zayden's birthday in disney, then kind of skipped to summer! So now I thought what did I miss? I realized what I missed was the large portion of early in the year when Z was officially potty trained!! I probably didn't blog because it is a pretty time consuming time!! I should have blogged during the process but I will save the details and just give you the lowdown on what worked for us! A lot of moms would ask me what I was doing, and he actually learned to use the potty within a few months, it didn't take long, once he got the hang of it, really little to no accidents!
Here are my mommytips:
- everyone helps out and is consistent! everyone: daddy, yaya, and lolo did the same routine
- minimal use of pullups
- take few days when just at home and put on regular underwear, he DID wet himself but we cleaned up and he really got it because he got WET
- it really only took a couple weeks, we did not use little potty, just sat him straight onto toilet and just asked him regularly if he needed to use the potty
- the one thing that motivated him the most was a potty chart, he really wanted to complete the chart and get his reward which was Chuck E Cheese trips!
I didn't take many pics of him on the potty! Will have to post one tomorrow! :)
