Summer days are gone already! It is chilly and foggy here in nor cal today. Zayden and I went to Starbucks while daddy was at work! He loves to get their mini scones :) and Hot Chocolate but he says it never stays hot! Ha!

:::::The photos above were from Slide Rock National Park, awesome park where you can play and slide in the natural rock formations, the water was bbrrrrr cold so daddy didn't let Zayden go in, but he loved climbing the rocks!:::::

Not bad for a almost 2 year old right? We went to the Philippines this past October for our family vacation with Lolo, Lola, Uncle Brian, and Ninang. We took a 12 hour flight nonstop to Manila and stayed at Lola's house in Bataan. Zayden slept most of each flight, since it was at 1030 PM each time--its just hard for mommy and daddy because even though we paid half price for him, he still didn't get his own seat! We survived and we are a stronger family now through all of our traveling adventures...we have experience under our belts now!
Each day it was usually over 80 degrees and really really humid! Zayden had a lot of fun, and below are some photos of his favorite things to do while we were in the province...

Above are photos from the terrace of daddy and zayden biking up and down the street, which was his favorite thing to do in the morning. Lolo usually would bring him each day, but this day daddy took him.
We went to the Russian River and stayed in the town of Guernville for 3 days as an early vacation for mommy's birthday--part I. For mommy's birthday part II yesterday we hung out with Lola and went shopping and had dinner and cake. Today will be Part III--auntie and uncle coming over for dinner--we will put those photos up later tonight. We had lots of fun and mommy was able to relax, read her gossip magazines, not have to go to work, and Daddy and Lola did most of the Zayden duty for mommy. Daddy always says that after you turn a certain age, that birthdays become just another day...that is true to some degree, and after seeing how much Zayden enjoyed his first birthday, they are much more magical when you are younger, and we love to see those days through his eyes.
So enjoy your younger years is the moral of the story as life will bring you down with more things to do, places to see, and people to meet....its so nice to see Zayden live a carefree life with no worries and just enjoy being in the moment with mommy and daddy. We can all learn a lot from our children. Mommy is definitely doing that!
