This is a mommy thought post late at night, as I cramp and suffer from my back ache this early AM. I am supposed to be at work in 6 hours, so I will sleep soon. This is a post for my son to read when he is older, MUCH older.

I just wanted to let you know Zayden how mommy enjoyed nursing you all 23 months of your young life...and I love to see you thrive now. But now baby, mommy gets the nasty present that comes from the lady in the red dress with the red gift. (okay mommy is going crazy writing like this, but its so true!!)

So, as most of my good friends and family know, I nursed Zayden for a long time...I wasn't one of those hard core moms that promoted BF and I was not so adamant that every mom should do it. But a lot of my friends know that I supported them as much as possible in their BF journeys. I want to thank Wanda, one of my BFFs, for being my coach, both mentally and physically as I started to nurse Zayden. You were one of my first visitors at home...and you still are the rockstar mom--who BF all 3 of her kids, or soon to be 3! I wanted to write this post because I want Zayden to see it later, and I also want to express how thankful I am to God for blessing my body to be able to provide nutrition to my son. And HE is reminding me now, how good that state was!

Because now, I have bloating, back ache, hot flashes, fatigue....and insomnia. All on top of having the FLOW. bleck. All of these symptoms I was free of for most of my 23 months that I nursed Zayden. Maybe a little spot here n there, but not like this.

So if any moms, especially new moms may be reading this...just remember, it IS worth it, and if you are lucky enough to NOT get a gift each month like I did, you will enjoy several months of nursing bliss. It is blissful compared to what I am going through now. All the late nights, feeling like a cow, leakage, ugly bras, and nursing tanks, stretch marks. They are all worth it. Not only for the baby but for your own well being as a mommy, take my word for it!!

Oh--and on a side note, if you are on facebook, join the hey facebook--breastfeeding in not obscene group. The mom that had her picture removed was on Dr Phil recently. And she was nursing her toddler, and the photo was an earlier shot, no areola or anything showing, and they took her photo down! They=facebook. I mean, we put a lot of money and revenue into their site by utilizing it, so they should respect us!
